Certain of the natural ingredients we use have either 1) varying taste because of the differences in the actual product, example: some oranges are sweet, some more tart or 2) taste better when pre-mixed, prickly pear cactus juice.
We here at the Doctor Jack Memorial University Medical Center, refer to these as serums. Though it would appear that having to pre-mix a mixer is more work, frequently it isn’t. In the case of Prickly Pear Serum: a combination of the cactus juice, citrus juice (lemon, lime, orange or sometimes all three) and agave nectar, it actually cuts out a step or two. In the Prickly Pear Margarita, you don’t have to bother squeezing a lime as it is already contained in the serum.
